Kenya Kanga Collection

Kenya Kanga Collection is a beautiful collection of Kanga items from Kenya, hand made by women with a flare for fashion and function. Originating on the East African coastline in the 19th century, the Kanga has become a statement totem of African culture. Early designs were simple, bordered cloths with white spots on a black background. The menfolk in the market soon saw the similarity of their Kanga attired women to the noisy, sociable guinea fowl, hence its name of Kanga (meaning guinea fowl in Kiswahili).
