Turnup.Travel is an inbound and outbound tour operator, a holiday concierge and a production arm that delivers stunning visual content, digital campaigns and stories. Turnup.Travel has a digital marketing arm called Turnup in Motion with a dedicated professional crew of photographers, filmmakers, writers, producers and licensed drone pilots. They also have Turnup for Good, which is a storytelling agency where they organize themed tours and craft campaigns to amplify sustainable tourism, fundraising and CSR initiatives.
In their efforts to better illuminate African culture, Turnup in Motion crafted a Vlogumentary series that documents the travels of millennial Kenyan travellers seeking to re-discover our continent. Through their Vlog, they seek to entertain, educate, inspire & draw global audiences to the beauty of Kenya and Africa. They achieve this by travelling to awesome locations, properties and give them full exposure with regards to their history, people, languages, culture, traditions, food & beverage, nightlife, landscapes & wildlife.

NAIROBI HERITAGE TOUR- FULL DAY
Depart Nairobi and drive to Nairobi National Museum – 10 minutes’ drive from Nairobi city centre.
Nairobi Museum aims to interpret Kenya’s rich heritage and offers a one stop for visitors to sample the country’s rich heritage both for education and leisure. In addition to the museum, visitors are treated to a variety of shopping and dining facilities, as well as botanical gardens that offer a serene environment.
Snake Park – adjacent to the Nairobi Museum. It serves visitors with better, public programmes like octopus exhibition, interactive sessions with harmless reptiles and amphibians, exhibition on the birds of the Snake Park and feeding of crocodiles with live fish. Audio Visual transmission of information on exhibitions, are under way. The aquaria have been modified with a classy touch of beautiful art work for their finishing. It is your world class tourist destination!
Located at the intersection of Kenyatta Avenue/ Uhuru Highway in the heart of Nairobi City is the Nairobi Gallery. Built in 1913, this was the Old PC’s office building fondly referred to as ‘Hatches, Matches and Dispatches’ because of the births, marriages and deaths that were recorded here.
Today, the building is a National Monument and serves as a museum holding temporary art exhibitions.
15 minutes’ drive from the city centre. Kenya’s largest memorial park. Uhuru is a Swahili word meaning freedom.
Uhuru Gardens is Kenya’s birthplace. This is where the first Kenyan flag was first raised and thus marking the very first year of independence on the 12th December 1963. Within the garden are two monuments commemorating Kenya’s independence, and a Mugumo (fig) tree.
The Mugumo tree is symbolic as it was planted on the spot where the Union Jack (British flag) was brought down and Kenya’s national flag was first hoisted. The site was a diversity of native flora and fauna of savannah woodland.
Oloolua Nature Trail
Hidden away in the market suburbs of Karen is the 250 hectares of the indigenous dry Oloolua forest. On arrival you will have a relaxing picnic lunch in the serene setting.
Located 10 km from the city centre. The farm house gained international fame with the release of the movie ‘Out of Africa’ an Oscar winning film based on Karen’s an autobiography by the same title.
In the evening you will be dropped back in Nairobi after the Historical day tour.
